               The commander had awoken from the sound of the thunder rolling over the Sanhedhran horizon. She had difficulty discerning the time of day due to the dark clouds billowing around the sun but she was warned of the rains season on the islands and was told that there was seldom a sunlit day to be had. She rather enjoyed the greyness the dampened brilliancy of the sun accorded. She found it well suited to a people who were so vibrant in dress and so numinous in character as though it made their vivid person excel all the brighter.
